June 4th, 2018, marks the beginning of a new era for TransUnion. John Blenke announced his retirement last year as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. Heather Russell will be taking over as the new executive of the consumer credit reporting agency. Russell brings with her over 20 years of experience to help the agency continue on their path of growth and enhance their information solutions.
Heather Russell has an unparalleled track record during her professional career. Gaining experience from various global financial services, Jim Peck the current President and Chief Executive Officer has full confidence in her ability to add tremendous value to TransUnion. Heather has experience in the consumer financial services, data privacy, data security, regulation compliance, business acquisitions and mergers, as well as FinTech solutions.
Heather Russell graduated with honors from American University’s Washington College of Law with honors along with a JD. Heather spent eight years of professional career at Skadden Arps, where her main focus was on financial services, including corporate financials, mergers, and acquisitions. According to Reuters, Russell worked as a general counsel at Bank of America, where she was also the Senior Vice President. Heather Russell was the Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Fifth Third Bank. During her time at New York Mellon, she was Managing Director and the Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs.
With such a diverse and well-rounded professional and academic career, Heather Russell said she excited to bring her expertise to the agency and looks forward to working with the executive team.
