Academy of Art University: Creating A World of Possibilities


The Academy of Art University, formally known as the Academy of Art College, is a top-level, for-profit school for the arts. This special institution specializes in entertainment, in liberal arts, in design and in fine art. Life at this institution is just like life at most other higher-learning facilities. Academy of Art University has online courses, sporting events, student housing, student organizations and clubs. Its beautiful campus sits deep in the heart of San Francisco, California, and the affluent New Market Street provides a direct shot to the main campus. The school also provides guided tours for anyone who’s interested. These guided-tours will give aspiring students an up-close-and-personal viewing of the campus’ galleries, housing, exhibits and state-of-the-art facilities.

Academy of Art is deep-rooted in the fashion world, and it has developed plenty of talent over the years. For 2017, the school represented itself very well in front of a packed crowd at the prestigious New York Fashion Week. This is the cream-of-the-art for fashion shows and for fashion events. Academy of Art University displayed a wonderful lineup of multiple fashion lines for both men and women. In total, there were five womenswear fashion lines, two menswear fashion lines and a collaboration. Ten of the school’s MFA and BFA graduates did a remarkable job under the bright of New York’s Skylight Clarkson Square.

This was actually the school’s 21st-consecutive runway display. The amount of talented individuals that were present at New York Fashion Week was enormous. Hundreds to even thousands of people were present for these eclectic shows. Whether the designers were from China, or the designers were from Chicago, every contestant performed at a high level. These 15 minutes of runway-fame has introduced plenty of new talent to the world and there doesn’t seem to be any slowing-down in the coming years.
